Chris Zippel – As Possible (Mick Rubin remix) (Elektrolux)
Mick Rubin not just remixed , but co-wrote this masterpiece with Chris Zippel, resulting perfect positive dubby deep space journey. Really great.
Sebastien Leger – Bambou / Talisman (Mistakes)
Master of melody, Leger created very easy and light atmosphere here. Both tracks are perfect. Talisman being more house, while Bamboo reminds Afro-Latino. Enjoyed to the fullest!
Sebastien Leger – Cylo / Terra (Mistakes)
Again, atmospheric and melodic, Cylo brings sound you gonna enjoy, sound which will melt hardest heart. Terra is the one you need to listen quite a few times before you start loving it. More minimalistic than Sebastien other tracks, he breaks all the cliches and drop-down and build it like no one else. Leger is good example when classic music education makes you stand you out from other producers, widening your possibilities, despite common opinion that it only limit you to classical approach.
Loco Dice – Pimp Jackson Is Talkin’ Now!!! (Desolat X)
“Green for the money” as wrote on last groves by master engineer (love to read this hidden messages!), and I agree. But still, this track is great. Surprise you have not expected from Loco Dice, house-oriented minimal, very groovy and deep, a bit of noise, plus this incredible vocal by Mister Pimp Jackson (“I know I sounds sexy”), who seems to have a quite enjoyable after-party trip in the studio. If you enjoyed main characters in Blaxploitation movies, this track is for you. Desolat, run by Loco and Martin Buttrich, starts new ‘vinyl only’ sub-label, Desolat X, with this transparent release. Must be a hit on the dancefloors around the globe, especially if you clearly hear the voice.
Gabriel vs. Nilz – Noize (Nilz Mix) (Very Disco)
Someone G. Vezzola is behind it. This record was waiting two years in my wish-list until I decided to get it. Well, its quite extraordinary. Super-energetic funky disco bass guitar loop, tough house beat, and most importantly, the voice, kinda interview with a sound engineer, who describes difference in sound in 70-s and now, which I completely agree with. When people on dance-floor would get bored by minimal sound, this track is perfect choice to change the mood and raise energy level.
Motorcitysoul – Deliver Me (feat Ernesto) (Simple)
Seems I get obsessed with male vocal tracks this month. House meets minimal meets touchy vocal. Pity its digital only.
Tigerskin – From The Dephts (Dirt Crew)
Very deep. Sounds easy but it drives me like a bomb. Digital only.
Colin Hobbs – Pictures (original mix) (White Noise Recordings)
Atmospheric, melodic, beautiful. If you would fly in futuristic, silent, zero-energy personal plane, this gonna be your soundtrack.
The Cube – Time Flies (Model 9000 remix) (Pacemaker Digital)
Deep, dark, melancholic.
Radio Slave feat. Danton Eeprom – Grindhouse (Dubfire remix) (Rekids)
Monster track, too long, tripy and mad-driving. Honestly I prefer when Dubfire is on more positive leg. Still, a perfect DJ tool.
Filter Fish – The Six (Link)
Got it cheap on sale (who’s gonna pay 20 euro for a CD album with only two good tracks), and still quite disappointed. Naive soft-pop with touch of techno from Japan, but sounds is so DEAD. It needs a good remix, chorus melody is fine. Guys find yourself a descend sound producer.

Una Mas Trio – Son Montuno / Nova Do Brasil (Agogo)
The Pluton Kids – Deep Down In My Soul (Fabio Nobile remix) (IRMA)
