A new owner decided to close this, one of the best clubs of Riga, on October the 1st. After renovation it gonna be something very commercial… Strip Bar, or something pop-style. Is it really not enough such dirty places for sex tourists in Riga? Why the very heart of “state Jazz life” must to be sold out? Why all the stuff became unemployed just two weeks before closing without prior negotiations? Hey government, hey Minister of Culture, are you watching what’s going on? Casablanca was the club we, Latvians could be proud of. Do we really need another strip bar in Dome Square, the town’ sacred location?
