What i like about his production is fresh touch of humor, it’s still techno but with feeling of jazz and house. He chops accapellas like a child, in a dirty old-skool way, and thats so funky! Uptoun, with its techy female vocal seems to making funny cover version of famous reggae hit Uptown Top Ranking, again in a very different, cold yet humorous way. Revival feature French speaking vocal which I like a lot just because of the language. Check out Daniels other fine tracks: Viwa La Fiwa, Pay For Me.

Stimming – Una Pena (Diynamic)
This one feature vocal by chilean folklore-singer Violeta Parra. House meets minimal in a latin way. Deep and uplifting. Not brand new, but its simple uplifting bass structure, spaced-out percussions and just positive atmosphere makes it a long living hit in my sets.

Beanfield feat. Bajka – Tides (Ripperton mix) (Compost)
Great remix of great song. Could electro sound be more atmospheric than this? I’d say no. Incredible.

Hugo – The Siren(Tuning Spork)
Italian power. We need some monster tracks too, and this is perfect example. Megan Washington – King Of The Rodeo (Tru Thoughts)
Nice new track from Bamboos. Minimalistic funky breaks with hot vocal. Up up up.

Gerardo Frisina – The Latin Kick (Schema) 2xLP
Another old (2006) great album from Gerardo, the man who never dissapoint. And by the way, as I recently discovered, he probably better known in Riga than in Italy. I had a conversation with an italian who was quite frustrated that I play so many Italian music he never heard of. Shut down your pop-radio, man! Nice that Schema Records do reissue their timeles catalogue. Cortante, Bite The Nite, Batucafro, Costo De Que E Bom, Hush, Senior Rico, Jazz Ally, The 7th Day, all these tracks are beautiful melt of jazz, latino, house, bossa and afro-beat. Very danceable and sophisticated stuff.

Nice Up! – Skankin In The Way Of Control (Nice Up!)
Second seven-inch from Nice Up in my collection. Very hot, sometimes screaming, female vocal over 118 bpm reggae grove. I like this type of reggae.
