Värka Kru came from ghettoes of CCCP

Inspired by freedom of underground music, from early events of 90′s in Riga clubs Panna, Metro,  Open and many more, we have originated our own touch on contemporary urban culture. Delivering it as crew since 1997, we still connecting audience with the freshest music trends, always being picky about quality of sound system.

The ä-kru has no solid roles or obligations. We do what is best for the moment and it’s fun to do it together. Since 2004 we started to spread over the world – UK, Finland, Sweden, New Zealand, Denmark and forward. Despite this, we are still connected, with that flashy feeling, which you, probably can catch at early morning, when a party is over and turntables are stopped, but everything still pulsing in the same rhythm, deep in our hearts, you know what I mean?

Värka Kru is music, jungle, graphic, absurd and sport artists and everybody around.

Värka Kru took part in a number of a music and culture festivals, just to name a few: European Drum and Bass Convention, Art+Communication, ArtGenda, Connexions, Ride It Summer Jam.

ä- kru has created series of original events as Colonel of the Bass, Spyseed Jah:ngle, More Faya, Rigalize, King Size Beat etc.

P.S. The importance of ä

The ä is very important character in Värka Kru identity! This particular spelling refers to number of subjects in North Europe, musical culture etc. Those two dots on top of A do the transitional job of transforming typographic identity of our crew to graphical representation of it. Ä becomes planetary sized bass key! Seen? So, everyone, who put us on a list, please, do it accordingly to the original idea, if you care. We dare you!
